David Anderle - Film Music Producer

David Anderle had a lengthy and successful career in the West Coast
contemporary music scene of the 1960s through the end of the 1990s.
Anderle headed the West Coast office of Elektra Records in the late 1960's,
then became Director of Talent Development, V.P. of Film Music and Senior
V.P. of A&R for A&M Records until the end of the 1990's. He worked with such
well-known artists as Brian Wilson, Frank Zappa, The Doors, Leon Russell,
Amy Grant, Aaron Neville and Sheryl Crowe and produced albums for Judy
Collins, Rita Coolidge, Kris Kristofferson, Chris DeBurgh and The Circle
Jerks, along with many others. As V.P. of Film Music he created soundtrack
albums for dozens of movies, most notably The Breakfast Club, Pretty In
Pink, and Good Morning Vietnam.
After leaving the music business in 1999, Anderle returned to painting, his
life's passion. In 2007 his passion for painting was fully realized with his first
gallery show at the Billy Shire Fine Arts Gallery and with the release of "Better
Late Then Never", a book of his paintings.
